Abstract
One-proton photodissociation cross sections are studied for the reaction Pb -208 (gamma ,p) Tl-207 at photon energies between 20 and 80 MeV. The transi tion into the 1g7/2 state of Tl-207 is calculated in a particle-hole model with short-range correlations and compared with estimated cross sections ba sed on experimental differential cross sections of Bobeldijk (1995). The sh ort-range correlations are described by Jastrow factors. The correlation fa ctors increase the total cross section. This result is in better agreement with experimental data than calculations without short-range correlations.
