Abstract
We observed the spatial gain profile of the transient collisional excitatio n Ni-like Ag laser ( lambda =13.9nm) in various plasma length using near fi eld imaging method. The gain coefficient of the x-ray laser was estimated a s 25cm-1. The gain region was crescent shape and the size was 50 mum. Local ization of high gain area was also observed.
