Abstract
Two novel secondary metabolites, bagremycin A (2) and B (3), were detected in the culture filtrate of Streptomyces sp. Tu 4128 by HPLC-diode-array scr eening. They are phenol esters of 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid with a deri vative of p-coumaric acid and show a moderate activity against Gram-positiv e bacteria and some fungi.
