Abstract
A method for the calibration of OH temperature measurements using lase r-induced fluorescence is demonstrated. The technique depends on the t hermal dissociation of water vapor in a furnace. The calibration was d emonstrated for the excitation of the A2SIGMA+(upsilon' = 3) - X2PI(up silon'' = 0) band with a tunable KrF laser. Consistent discrepancies o f 3% between calculated and measured temperatures with a standard devi ation of 8% were observed.
