Abstract
Triterpene 2-deoxy-alpha-D-hexopyranosides were synthesized by the gly cosylation of oleanane triterpene alcohols with D-glucal and D-galacta l acetates in the presence of di(sym-collidine)iodonium perchlorate wi th subsequent deiodination and deacetylation of the resulting 2-deoxy- 2-iodo-alpha-D-glycosides. 2-Deoxy-alpha-D-arabino- and -lyxo-hexopyra nosides of methyl glycyrrhetinate demonstrated pronounced antiulcer ac tivity and stimulated reparative skin regeneration in rats more effect ively than glycyrrhizic acid and methyluracil.
