Abstract
An efficient and rapid procedure for the synthesis of allyl iodides and bro mides from Baylis-Hillman adducts using clay-supported sodium iodide and so dium bromide is described. Improved yields and enhanced rates have been ach ieved by employing microwave irradiation.
