Low-energy cross sections of the Be-7(p, gamma)B-8 reaction is of crucial i
mportance, because they determine the high-energy solar neutrino flux. Coul
omb dissociation with intermediate-energy B-8 beams and low-energy proton-t
ransfer reactions with Be-7 beams have been investigated to determine indir
ectly the astrophysical S-17 factors of the Be-7(p, gamma)B-8 reaction. The
results of these studies are generally in good agreement with the ones obt
ained by direct capture measurements using intense proton beams and radioac
