Abstract
Motor fluctuations and dyskinesia are common complications of long-term lev odopa therapy. The neural and molecular mechanisms underlying their develop ment are partially understood. A variety of clinical strategies may reduce the unpredictability of motor fluctuations and reduce their impact. Prevent ion of these complications remains an elusive goal.
