Abstract
We report a pump and probe terahertz (THz) excitation technique to investig ate the ultrafast carrier dynamics in YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO). THz pulses genera ted by laser-induced supercurrent modulation are used to probe the time res olved evaluation of the THz emission. The technique is revealed to allow us to study the carrier dynamics, such as fast THz field screening effect ins ide the YBCO film and changes in the electrodynamics due to Cooper pair bre aking and hot carrier excitation, and so on.
