Mathematical and natural modelling is performed for direct axisymmetric ext
rusion of bars from uncompacted metal billets. In the course of mathematica
l modelling optimum production parameters are determined for extrusion prov
iding extruded bars with minimum porosity, and a procedure is established f
or predicting the residual porosity of articles. Comparison of the results
obtained points to the possibility of practical application of the mathemat
ical models.
