Abstract
The energy of the Au(I)Au-...(I) interaction was estimated within the frame work of the structural thermodynamic model for 40 various complexes in whic h the interaction of gold atoms occurred in the d(10) configuration. The es timation was compared to the results of quantum-chemical calculations using the Herchbach-Laurie formula. A conclusion was made that the (AuAu)-Au-... coordination interactions exhibit no specific features.
