Pp. Prosini et al., Li4Ti5O12 as anode in all-solid-state, plastic, lithium-ion batteries for low-power applications, SOL ST ION, 144(1-2), 2001, pp. 185-192
Spinel Li4Ti5O12 was prepared and tested as alternative anode for lithium-i
on batteries. The electrochemical performance of the material was evaluated
in liquid electrolyte at C/25 rate. The material delivered 150 mA h g(-1)
with a very satisfactory capacity retention. The electrochemical performanc
e of commercial LiMn2O4 was also tested. These materials were used to prepa
re polymer electrodes on aluminium foil substrate by using a screen-printin
g deposition technique. The transport properties of symmetrical polymer-ele
ctrode/polymer-electrolyte cells were evaluated by AC impedance. All-solid-
state, plastic, lithium-ion batteries were fabricated with the cell configu
ration Li4Ti5O12/polymer electrolyte/LiMn2O4. The electrochemical performan
ce of such a cell was evaluated at various temperatures. (C) 2001 Elsevier
