Abstract
The direct synthesis of non-racemic N-aryl pyrrolidinones through the appli cation of the Buchwald/Hartwig aryl amination reaction is reported. These r eactions proceed in generally good yield, with a variety of electron defici ent aryl bromides and with retention of stereochemical purity. (C) 2001 Els evier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
