Abstract
The preparation of (E)-1-(3-indolyl)-3-tert-butyldimethysiloxy-1,3-butadien es and their Diels-Alder reaction with selected dienophiles at room tempera ture is described. The utility of these heteroaryldienes for the constructi on of different (3-indolyl)-planar systems is shown by the synthesis of a g rooved analogue of arcyriaflavin A. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
