Abstract
Two complexes, [Ag-2 (mu (4)-hmt) (mu (3)-oga)] . 3H(2)O (1) and [Ag-2 (mu (4)-hmt) (mu (3)-mpa)] . 3H(2)O (2) (hmt = hexamethylenetetramine, oga = di glycolate, mpa = m-phthalate), have been synthesized and structurally chara cterized. The structures of these complexes consist of three-dimensional ca tionic honeycomblike networks. The dicarboxylates in these hexagonal channe ls function in monodentate-bidentate coordination mode. Complex 1 (C10H22Ag 2N4O8) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a =0.6366(3 ) nm, b=1.1736(7) nm, c=2.1998(12) nm, beta =97.60(6)degrees, V=1.629(2) nm (3), Z=4, R-1=0.0491, wR(2) = 0.1231. Complex 2 (C14H22Ag2N4O7) crystallize s in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a = 1.2944(4)nm, b=1.1998(7)n m, c=2.3491(14)mn, beta =95.49(4)degrees, V=3.631 (3)nm(3), Z=8, R-1 = 0. 0 664, wR(2) = 0.1526.
