Abstract
The crystal structure of the title compound, [Co(NO3)-(C10H9N3)(2)]NO3, con sists of mononuclear cations and uncoordinated nitrate anions held together by means of an extensive three-dimensional network of N-H . . .O and C-H . . .O hydrogen bonds. The Co-II centre has a distorted octahedral geometry, coordinated with two O atoms of a bidentate nitrate ligand and with four p yridine N atoms of two bis(2-pyridyl)amine ligands in a trans-trans mode.
