Abstract
The title compound [(CuDmp)(2)(CuI)(CuO'Bu)] (Dmp=2,6-Mes(2)C(6)H(3) with M es = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2), [Cu4I(C4H9O)-(C24H25)(2)], was obtained as by-product of the synthesis of the copper aryl (CuDmp)2. It contains an almost planar central Cu4C2IO ring with two-coordinate Cu atoms and two different sets of Cu-C distances (average Cu-C = 1.952 and 2.032 Angstrom; average Cu-O = 1. 859 Angstrom; average Cu-I = 2.4478 Angstrom).
