3-Benzylidene-1 '-methyl-4 '-phenylcyclohexanespiro3 '-pyrrolidine-2 '-spiro-3 ''-indoline-2,2 ''-dione

In the title compound, C30H28N2O2, there are two molecules in the asymmetri c unit. In both molecules, the pyrrolidine ring adopts an envelope conforma tion whereas the conformation of the cyclohexane ring is half-chair. The ox indole moiety is almost perpendicular to the pyrrolidine ring; the benzylid ene moiety and the phenyl ring are in equatorial and bisectional configurat ions with respect to their attached pyrrolidine and cyclohexanone rings, re spectively. Intramolecular C-H . . .O and intermolecular N-H . . .N and N-H . . .O interactions stabilize the molecular structure and the packing in t he crystal.
