Abstract
Re-investigation of [NiCl2(PPh3)(2)]. 2CH(2)Cl(2) at 120 K yielded much mor e accurate geometric parameters than the earlier room temperature study and confirmed the main conclusion of the latter: the Ni-P and Ni-Cl bonds in t his centrosymmetric square-planar complex [2.2439 (5) and 2.1672 (5) Angstr om] are significantly shorter than in the tetrahedral solvent-free [NiCl2(P Ph3)(2)].
