Abstract
The conformation of the seven-membered ring in the title compound, C18H14N5 +. Cl-, is close to a boat, and this fragment has an approximate mirror pla ne of symmetry. The protonation takes place at an N atom of the triazole ri ng. One strong N-H . . . Cl and two weak C-H . . . Cl hydrogen bonds determ ine the crystal packing.
