Abstract
The title compound, C4H5FN3O+.C7H5O3-, exists as a hydrogen-bonded heterodi mer of 5-fluorocytosinium and salicylate ions which are connected through a pair of nearly parallel specific N-H . . .O hydrogen bonds. The heterodime r self-assembles via intermolecular N-H . . .O hydrogen bonds to form linea r, as well as helical, hydrogen-bonded supramolecular chains that are inter woven into a three-dimensional network structure.
