A patient with an anterior wall myocardial infarction had a false pattern o f inferior wall infarction when the left leg electrode was placed on the ch est, in between the V-2 and V-3 electrodes. This unique example of electrod al confusion was, at first glance, misinterpreted as resulting from switchi ng of the left leg and V-2 electrodes.
