We present a CCD V light curve of HV2241, together with some observations i
n the B band. We analysed our photometric data jointly with previously publ
ished radial velocities by means of the Wilson-Devinney code, and derived n
ew values for the physical parameters of this massive eclipsing binary syst
em. We confirm that this system is semi-detached, with the secondary (less
massive and less luminous component) filling its Roche-lobe. From our analy
sis, we estimate the following masses and radii for the components of HV224
1: M-1 = 36.2 +/- 0.7 M., R-1 = 14.9 +/- 0.4 R., M-2 = 18.4 +/- 0.7 M. and
R-2 = 13.7 +/- 0.4 R. We review the spectral classification analysing HST a
nd IUE data and discuss the temperature and the reddening for this star.
