Abstract
We investigate the possibility of determining the fraction of compact objec ts in the universe by studying gravitational lensing effects on Type la sup ernova observations. Using simulated data sets from I yr of operation of th e proposed dedicated supernova detection satellite Supernova/Acceleration P robe, we find that it should be possible to determine the fraction of compa ct objects to an accuracy of less than or similar to 5%.
