Abstract
The multi-functional protein beta -catenin plays essential roles in cell-ce ll adhesion and nuclear signaling. Elucidation of the structures of beta -c atenin complexes is beginning to clarify how beta -catenin uses the same su rface to bind its various partners, and provides insights into how these in teractions might be regulated.
