A convenient procedure for the synthesis of a new porphyrin-C-60 dyad via t
he reaction between 5-(4-aminophenyl)10,15,20-tris(4-methoxyphenyl) porphyr
in and a C-60 carboxylic acid is described. The results of preliminary phot
oelectrochemical studies on nanostructured SnO2 electrodes coated with the
new dyad suggest that the resultant substrate is suitable for solar energy
