Abstract
A 21-year-old patient with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus developed tr ansient hypoglycemic hemiparesis and altered consciousness on the second da y after repeat cesarean section. Hypoglycemic hemiparesis is a rare complic ation in patients with diabetes and is often misinterpreted as cerebral isc hemia. Complete resolution of the symptoms is likely if the correct diagnos is is made promptly.
