The dynamic properties of a piece-wise linear (PWL) circuit model of hyster
esis are presented. The model is defined as a superposition of hysteresis o
perators originated by proper voltages in a simple PWL circuit. Static hyst
eresis and the dynamic features are governed by different parameters of the
model. Thus, proper identification procedures can be used to determine the
parameters controlling the rate-independent hysteresis behavior as well as
a prefixed frequency dependence of the hysteresis cycle. Basic features an
d numerical results are discussed.
