Abstract
The advantages and related costs of using irregular tetrahedra for the fini te element analysis (FEA) of electromagnetic systems are investigated. The modeling flexibility and efficiency of purely localized h-refinements for t etrahedra are illustrated and evaluated. Practical implementation and appli cation details for irregular tetrahedra FEA modules are presented and discu ssed.
