Abstract
This paper describes a novel acceleration method that improves the converge nce characteristics of the time-stepping finite element analysis for a rota ting machine excited from a constant voltage source. In the proposed method , we utilize the equivalent circuit of a rotating machine and its transient current waveform characteristics. Some numerical results, which demonstrat e the validity of the proposed method, are also presented.
