M. Bartsch et al., Advanced electromagnetic field visualization using the virtual reality modeling language standard, IEEE MAGNET, 37(5), 2001, pp. 3604-3607
The Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is presented to be suited for
the visualization of 3-D results of electromagnetic field simulations, here
performed with the CAE program MAFIA. Based on shape primitives, it allows
the modeling of transparent materials and arbitrary object coloration. Its
object oriented approach allows the combination of contour and arrow plots
with ease. The VRML interpolator mechanism is used to include animated arr
ow plots and moving charged particles.
