Abstract
This paper is presented for evaluating the static and dynamic performance o f slotless permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) which is energ ized by partially excited primary current. Especially, the influence of the end-effect resulted from the moving magnet is investigated in detail. The starting and control characteristics related to the end-effect of PMLSM is studied, successively.
