Abstract
Retropharyngeal cellulitis/abscess has not been recognized as a manifestati on of group B streptococcal disease in the pediatric group beyond neonates. The purpose of this paper is to present a previously healthy 3-year-old bo y with a retropharyngeal abscess due to group B Streptococcus which was suc cessfully treated by surgical incision and drainage in combination with amo xicillin/clavulanate therapy.
