Abstract
Based on pinch analysis, the regeneration process in the carbon dioxide rem oving system of a fertilizer plant is suitable to use thermal vapor recompr ession heat pump. To obtain economically optimal conditions, calculation an d analysis have been done for the energy saving cost and economical benefit of each design with varying temperature drop of the potassium carbonate so lutions. Moreover, the feasible energy saying design and the type of the eq uipment are chosen according to the practical situation of the plant.
