Abstract
In this paper, are have calculated and analyzed theoretically and cons istently the absorption spectra, the ZFS and EPR parameters of the gro und state, the Schottky low-temperature heat capacity, and the paramag netic susceptibility of Ni(pz)(4)Cl-2 (Dichlorotetrapyrazolenickel) co mplex by using d(8)[(1 - C-2)D-4h + C2D2h*] complete configuration mi xing unified crystal field theory. The theoretical results agree with the experimental observation very well. We can give a complete and rea sonable theoretical interpretation of the optical, thermal and magneti c properties of Ni(pz)(4)Cl-2.
