Toxicological examination of pesticides according to the new domestic regulation

The author gives account of the regulations relating to the laboratory anim al examinations of pesticides in Hungary. He presents the changes in the re gulations during the last 30 years, especially the jurisdiction of the last years referring to the relevant executive decrees. Laboratory animal examinations prescribed by the latest ministerial decree are detailed, the results of which are essential for the authorisation of a pesticide. The author indicates that the Hungarian legal practice in this field is equ ivalent to the international requirements, establishing the chemical safety from both human and veterinary point of view.
