Abstract
Under suitable conditions on f (t, u), the boundary value problem u(Delta Delta)(t) + muf (t, u(sigma) (t)) = 0, in [a, b], (E) alphau(a) - b etau(Delta)(a) = 0, gammau(sigma (b)) + deltau(Delta)(sigma (b)) = 0, } (BC ) } (BVP) has at least one solution. Moreover, we also apply this main result to esta blish several existence theorems of multiple solutions for some nonlinear d ifferential equations on measure chain. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
