Abstract
Factors which affect the simultaneous switching output (SSO) noise ele ctrical performance of plastic quad hat pack (PQFP) packages are discu ssed in this paper. Limitations on PQFP package design for SSO noise a re presented, along with a methodology for extracting the effective in ductance limits for PQFP packages.
