A. Simon et al., Synthesis and characterization of Mu-19, a new zincophosphate with a three-dimensional 12-membered ring channel system, MICROP M M, 47(2-3), 2001, pp. 135-146
A new three-dimensional open-framework zincophosphate [C5H12NO][ZnP2O5(OH)(
3)] . H2O, named Mu-19, was synthesized at room temperature from a ZnO/P2O5
/N-methylmorpholine/H2O system. The crystal structure was determined by sin
gle crystal X-ray diffraction. The zincophosphate crystallizes in the ortho
rhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) (no. 19) with a = 9.976(4), b = 10.359(6)
, c = 12.980(10) Angstrom, V = 1341.4(14) Angstrom (3) and Z = 4. The struc
ture consists of ZnO4, PO2O(OH) and PO2(OH)2 tetrahedra linked to form an o
pen structure with a three-dimensional channel system delimited by 12-membe
red ring openings. The organic structure-directing amine is hydrogen bondin
g to the inorganic framework via water molecules. The zincophosphate Mu-19
is further characterized by C-13 CP MAS/P-31 MAS NMR with high power decoup
ling and H-1 CRAMPS NMR spectroscopy, SEM and thermal analyses. (C) 2001 El
