Abstract
Tungsten trioxide can be introduced into the cavities of zeolite X or direc tly reacted to yield socialite derivatives of the hauyne type by straightfo rward solid-state reactions. Decisive factors for the formation of either t ungsten-oxide doped zeolite X or derived sodalites are the relative concent rations of the reactants, the reaction temperature and the cations present, The incorporation and conversion are monitored and interpreted by means of UV absorption spectroscopy, DTA/DTG, XRD and IR spectra.
