Abstract
Paraniesslia tuberculata gen. et sp. nov., Clypeosphaeria uniseptata sp. no v. and Leptosphaeria ginimia sp. nov. are described and illustrated from wo od submerged in freshwater habitats in Hong Kong, while Astrosphaeriella st ellata is reported as a new record from a river in Hong Kong. Paraniesslia tuberculata has characteristic features of the Niessliaceae, but is unique in producing greenish-brown ascospores with tuberculate ornamentation.
