Abstract
To verify the role of interhemispheric influences on manifestations of negl ect, the authors investigated the effects of a transient repetitive transcr anial magnetic stimulation (rTMS)-induced disruption of the unaffected hemi sphere on contralesional visuospatial neglect in two left- and five right-b rain-damaged patients. Parietal rTMS of the unaffected hemisphere during th e execution of a computerized task of bisected line's length judgment trans iently decreased the magnitude of neglect as expressed in the number of err ors.
