Abstract
The biology-related term Mimicry is a good approach to describe the positio ning strategy, if there is any, for the LDI-professions in Germany: Adaptat ion and imitation. A loss of identity follows with this strategy. There is, as a consequence of this development, a very poor knowledge about the perf ormance of the LDI-field in the public (Public Awareness). The article outl ines the problems and offers a rough approach for a public awareness campai gn within the framework of a concerted action.
