Internet and E-Business are a must in economic life. A closer look at this
topic reveals that less than 50 percent of traditional SME in Europe have a
ccess to the Internet. Paradoxically. a lot of traditional SME wish to inte
grate this potential profitable in their business. Service provider as well
as provider of subsidies wrestle with the problem of inhomogenity of the t
arget group SME. Solutions tailored for the need of SME mean something diff
erent than solutions for big companies. The article shows some of the weak
points and demonstrates by means of an example what a tailored solution may
look like.
