In this article we discuss the phase properties of the superposition of pai
r-coherent states in the framework of Pegg-Barnett formalism. We also inves
tigate the behaviour of Wigner and Weyl functions for the single-mode case.
We show for specific modes and quantities that even-pair-coherent states c
an map onto odd-pair-coherent states and vice versa based on the values of
the degeneracy parameter. Also we discuss the possibility of using the Weyl
function to describe the phase distribution as a new tool in quantum optic
