Abstract
Viscosities of binary liquid mixtures of 2,5,8-trioxanonane (diglyme) with n-hexane and c-hexane were determined at 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 degreesC as a function of composition. The viscosities were used to test the semiempiri cal relations of Dolezalek, Grunberg-Nissan, Tamura-Kurata and Wijk. Excess viscosities were fitted to Redlich-Kister equation. The viscosity relation s proposed by Bloomfield and Dewan were used to calculate enthalpy, entropy and free volume contributions to excess viscosity.
