Abstract
An ionic palladium chloro nitroso complexes were synthesized; their oxidati on by atmospheric oxygen produces nitrito complexes. The structure of the c omplex (Ph4P)(2)[Pd-2(NO2)(2)Cl-4] (I) was studied by X-ray crystallography : a = 10.418(3) Angstrom, b = 10.893(3) Angstrom, c = 10.982(4) Angstrom, a lpha = 78.72(3)degrees, beta = 71.99(3)degrees, gamma = 80.04(2)degrees, V = 1153.8(6) Angstrom (3), space group P (1) over bar, Z = 1, d(calc) = 1.62 0 g/cm(3).
