Abstract
The size dependence of the surface tension for the critical nuclei in gas-s aturated CO2 + H2O solutions was studied within the framework of the Gibbs- van der Waals theory of capillarity. Based on a single-fluid model, a unive rsal equation of state of a solution was constructed. It was revealed that the size effects are not the main cause of the discrepancy between the homo geneous nucleation theory and the experiment for gas-saturated aqueous solu tions at low temperatures.
