Abstract
Hormonal aspects of acne are of particular interest in treating adult women . A review of the role of hormones in the pathogenesis of acne, guidelines for the workup of a suspected endocrine disorder, and an overview of the us e of hormonal therapy in women with endocrine problems and in normal women is presented.
