Reactions of chlorocarbonyl isocyanate and chlorosulfonyl isocyanate with a
minopyrazoles and active methylene nitriles are reported. They lead to nove
l pyrazolo[1,5-a]-1,3,5-triazines and barbituric acid derivatives. The stru
ctures of the products and the mechanisms of their formation are reported.
